Yarlington Housing Group selects Microsoft
Dynamics AX 2009

Group, formerly South Somerset Homes, is a leading West
Country Housing Association with over 8,000 affordable homes for
rent and shared ownership, together with homes and support for
vulnerable and older people. In line with the overall business
strategy, the IT strategy is to move into a Microsoft environment
for all applications in order to create a seamless working
environment between unstructured data on the desktops and the
transactional data in their core business applications.
Working with Touchstone and Northgate, the
Association will be implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 in
their Finance department later this year. This will be integrated
with the Anite Housing application using Northgate’s ‘Enterprise
Housing’ connector.
John Fynn, ICT Manager, says: “We are looking
forward to putting our IT strategy into operation. The use of
SharePoint throughout the organisation as a window onto our
applications is going to both improve collaborative working
throughout the business, as well as enabling a far greater number
of staff to see, use and benefit from the core financial and
operational data that in the past has been confined to just a
limited number of users.”
